Low Income Program

If you are going through a separation or divorce, cannot afford a lawyer, and want to use Collaborative law principles to work things out with your former partner or spouse, then consider participating in the Pro Bono Project. The Project is offered by Collaborative Separation & Divorce Victoria in partnership with the British Columbia Roster Society.

This is a voluntary process using Collaborative principles such as full disclosure of your financial information. It is also time limited, and uses Zoom (online platform).

Applicants will be screened for suitability to the Collaborative Model.

To be eligible to participate in this project, you and your spouse must:

1. Both consent to participate in settlement meetings, and

2. Have a combined gross annual income of less than $150,000,  and

3. Have less than $200,000 of equity in assets, excluding pension plans.

You will be asked to complete an Application and preference will be given to those with the most need.
